Generac Q-55G Highline, model 09592-3, 5500w, 120/240

It worked fine for 6 hours. Started right up every time. Turned it off for the night and won't turn over this morning. It cranks and cranks but doesn't turn over. starts and runs fine. when i push rocker start/stop switch to stop,
engine speed lowers but won't stop. when i push rocker start/stop to start,
engine goes back to normal. i pulled spark plug wire to stop.

now, after reviewing some postings and diagnostic info in generac manuals..

i disconnected the remote start harness for dash switch
--i replaced start/stop switch with new OEM part..no fix..
--i replaced control board..no fix...
read something about checking ISD (ignition shutdown module) but cant find it in parts manual or any reference anywhere to where it might be,

so can't test it..
3 connectors at start/stop switch. middle is ground, other two for start/stop accordingly(wire#s 17 and 18)
for 17 & 18, one has continuity to ground, the other has 12 volts.
if i remove the one with 12v, press start, nothing happens, so just guessing this is wire#17 per schematic.
have tried for almost a week to get Generac to respond...no luck...
